Fazenda Bom Pastor is located 20 km northeast of Ilhéus.

From Ilheus you can get to the Bom Pastor by car (private car or taxi). On the BA 262 Ilhéus-Uruçuca highway at km 17.5 (Fazenda Santa Rita) turn right (towards Ribeira das Pedras and Fazenda Almada). Follow the dirt road for 2.7 km and take the first right (at the sign Fazenda Bom Pastor), following the road for 2.4 km.

Accomodation during fieldwork

AMAP offers basic accommodation for scientists and students. The main house has sleeping accommodation for up to ten students in a dormitory and two rooms for guests or researchers. There is a shared bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. Home-cooked meals can also be provided on request. The main house has office facilities, including laptop and printer use, and Wi-Fi is available.
