Organic certification of Fazenda Bom Pastor

Following the organic certification of our cocoa for the Brazilian market last year, the cocoa production of Fazenda Bom Pastor has now also been certified organic for the European market. As a member of the Cabruca cooperative, AMAP now also produces organic cocoa. The certificate is valid for one year and is renewed regularly. An inspection and control of conformity with the requirements for the Brazilian, European and North American markets takes place annually. The certification and inspection is carried out by the IBD, the largest certifier of organic products in Latin America. The next step is the Demeter certification of our cocoa production, which can be obtained after three years of organic production. Chocolate from our own production can already be purchased via our webshop, but this is not yet certified. With the next export of our harvest, we will also be able to produce and offer certified organic chocolate. Since the purchase of Fazenda Bom Pastor, we have been cooperating with Confiserie Coppeneur for the production of chocolate.
